This is our 4th set of Picasso Magnetic Tiles that we have purchased over the past few years for Christmas gifts for our grandchildren. Every year, the kids ask for more to build bigger and better houses or buildings, or barns. I love the bright colors and the variety of shapes that come in this set. Children use their imaginations and get creative in their constructions every time they use them – from the age of 2 to adult! (I love to build with them, too!). The price point for these is really great – especially when they are on sale during Amazon Days.

My husband bought 2 boxes for my 3 year old for his birthday. We thought 120 pieces would be more than enough, though once my son started building things, we realized it’s not near as much as we thought. So I ordered him 2 more boxes for Christmas and now I think that is the perfect amount. All 4 boxes fit nicely in an 11″ cubby.
I should note that my son really only uses the squares, in which is why the 2 original boxes weren’t enough. It would be amazing if we could buy only the squares, but that is not currently an option. The larger pack size offers several different shapes, so that is why we stuck with the 60 piece pack.
The Magnet tiles themselves: Magnets are strong and hold well. They are durable and can withstand rough play without breaking. My son has thrown them, they have been stepped on by everyone in the family and my son likes to build towers and “Hulk Smash” them. We havent had a single broken piece and have had frequent play for nearly 2 years. Between the heavier plastic and the magnet strength, they can build tall towers without falling as well as do not fall apart with slight touches. The Magnets are in well and not one has fallen out despite rough play, unlike other brands we have tried. They are also so easy to clean. I use a clorox wipe and it makes it so easy. I have not tried washing them in the sink as I don’t want the Magnets to lose their strength nor do I want them to rust.
Interest level: My son, now 4, struggles with staying focused and interested in anything more than a few minutes. These tiles are a staple in our house. My son plays with them nearly every day and will sit and play for an hour at time, longer if we play with him. He doesn’t lose intest in them right away like so many other toys. These will make the perfect gift for any child who likes to build, smash things, rough players or who have an imagination. There is literally so much you can do with them.
PS. They are fun for adults too 🙂 and great way to get everyone in the house in on the fun.

I was a little worried when I ordered these instead of Magna tiles. But, they’ve got just as much magnetic power. Cute shapes that allow your kiddo to be creative and successful!

MY EXPERIENCE: I was pleasantly surprised by what a long-term toy this turned out to be! We bought them when my daughter was not even 2; she’s now 3 and a half and still plays with them every other week. (If you’re a parent you know some toys only last a few months , or weeks…) Similarly, kids play for over an hour (not just minutes)
STRONG MAGNETS: indeed quite strong. a crucial feature.
PRICE: a lot more affordable than competitor Magna and in my experience a great alternative.
QUANTITY: We bought the 60 piece set. Although there’s great variety (bigger and smaller squares, different type triangles), sometimes we run short for the more complex animals on the brochure.
MY ADVICE TO YOU: I’d say get 100 pieces. It’s a great investment and your kid will play for years with this toy!

I got these for my Godson. He is a very active child. These were well made and the colors were great. They kept him and his friend busy for quite a while. They stick together well like they should. I liked that there are patterns that come with it to show them all the cool things they can make. The price was much lower than other brands , which I really appreciate. I will definitely purchase more later !!
